Stalled €11 Million Bandon Flood Relief Works To Resume Next Week

Agreement was reached between the contractors and the OPW in recent days
Work on the Bandon Flood Relief Scheme is expected to resume on Tuesday after work was halted at the site earlier this month
Contractors conducting preparatory works on the river removed machinery from the site due to contractual issues between the OPW and the contrcators...
Agreement between the two sides was reached in the last few days and dredging of the river is now due to get underway next week as part of the €11 million project
The news has been welcomed by local traders who had warned that up to 1,000 jobs could be at risk if the Flood Relief Works do not go ahead as planned next month
