Standoff Underway Between Former Staff And Concession Owners At Debenhams Patrick Street Store
It's the third such standoff since Debenhams announced the closure of eleven stores including two in Cork in April.
The operators of Oasis, Monsoon and Warehouse are trying to remove their stock however former Debenhams staff are blocking them from leaving the service yard on Parnell Place.
Employees say no stock should not be removed from the store until they are paid full redundancy packages.
Speaking to RedFM News from scene of the standoff, shop steward Valerie Conlon says she and her colleagues won't be allowing any stock to leave:
