Structural reports are expected to be carried out in the coming weeks following the fire at St Kevin's Asylum

The results of the report will determine if one of Cork's most iconic buildings will have to be demolished
Cork City Fire Brigade remains at St. Kevins building on Our Lady's Hospital Campus this afternoon, as the building continues to smoulder following an overnight fire.
It's feared that the fire may have been started deliberately, and an investigation into last night's blaze is underway.
There are calls for the city and county council to carry out a study on how historic buildings are lying idle across Cork, following concerns over the number of properties destroyed by fire in Cork over the past number of years.
Speaking to RedFM News these listeners say the building should never have been left get into such a bad state of disrepair.
