Students in Kinsale raise thousands for past pupil
Pupils from Kinsale Community School have raised around 25,000 euro for a past pupil who suffered several spinal injuries in a fall in August.
18 year old Ciara O'Brien had just completed her Leaving Cert when she fell off a flat roof at the side of the Moorings Nightclub and broke her back in the fall...
She has been left paralysed from the waist down however her family are remaining positive about her future..
Ciara is currently undergoing treatment at the National Rehabilitation Clinic in Dun Laoighaire where she is planning ahead for her future.
The entire school community took part in a walk yesterday morning, including Ciara's brother and sister who attend the school, to raise funds for her recovery and rehabilitation...
Speaking to RedFM News her Mum Pauline says the school stepped in to help as soon as the news of Ciara's accident broke:
