Students To Take To The Streets Of Cork To Demand Government Action On Climate Change

Last March 5,000 secondary school students marched through the city to take part in the "Fridays for Future" march
Last March thousands of secondary school students marched through the city to take part in the "Fridays for Future" march which was part of a global day of action
The movement came about last Summer after Swedish secondary school student, 15 year old Greta Thunberg began taking Fridays off classes to highlight climate change and her lone protest has now snowballed into an international school strike.
Similar events will be held today in seven other counties across Ireland including Dublin, Galway and Limerick...
