Tánaiste Pays Tribute To Front Line Staff Who Battled Douglas Shopping Centre Blaze

He says he will speak with other representatives to see what help can be given
Around 60 cars were damaged in the fire in Douglas Village Shopping Centre, while 130 remain trapped on the upper floors of the multi story car park. It's understood they will have to be removed with a crane as the floors and the access ramps were compromised in the fire.
Meanwhile shops located in the centre face an anxious wait to find out when they'll be able to reopen however an update on that isn't expected for some time as engineers have advised management not to allow anyone to access the centre.
Gardaí say they're satisfied the blaze which originated in one car before spreading to others was not suspicious and started accidentally.
Speaking to RedFM News Tánaiste Simon Coveney says while it's up to the City Council to see what help they can give affected traders, it's important that everyone gets involved to help where they can:
