Tanaiste Says All Stakeholders Are Committed To The Cork Events Centre

Simon Coveney says the project should not be turned into a political football


The Tánaiste has moved to allay fears about the future of the highly anticipated Events Centre and says it shouldn't be turned into a political football. 

Simon Coveney was speaking after the project gained national attention this week when it featured on a Prime Time Documentary.

Fears are mounting that the 6,000 seat venue will not come to fruition however the Tánaiste has reaffirmed the government's commitment to the project and says all stakeholders are fully committed to finding a solution.

Speaking to RedFM News in the past hour Simon Coveney says the Events Centre is a priority for the Government and they won't let it go:
