The Taoiseach has moved to defend the government's efforts to tackle the housing crisis Leeside.
Enda Kenny's comments come on foot of a spate of job announcements in Cork in recent weeks.
Global outsourcing company Voxpro are creating 350 jobs, 75 clinical positions and up to 200 indirect roles are coming on stream at the Bons Secours Hospital and tech giant Apple also announced 1,000 jobs for its European Headquarters in Hollyhill.
Concerns have been expressed in recent months over the difficulties facing business owners who wish to expand in Cork as new employees have nowhere to live.
However, Taoiseach Enda Kenny told RedFM News that a joint effort is being made to resolve the issue:
