Taoiseach says EU is committed to doing business with Trump administration

Taoiseach Enda Kenny says the EU is committed to doing business with the US administration.

Mr. Kenny was in a meeting in Malta with all EU heads of state and government, where the new US administration was a key focus for all 28 leaders including British Prime Minister Theresa May.

Mr. Kenny's comments also come amid widespread criticism from some EU countries, including Ireland, of US President Donald Trump's executive order to ban refugees.

The Taoiseach also said Donald Trump's regular use of Twitter as a mode of communication was "unusual" but his latest orders are in line with what he campaigned on.
