Taoiseach Says He Has Nothing But Admiration For The Former Debenhams Workers
The workers plight was raised in the Dail by Sinn Fein during Leader's Questions
The Taosieach says it's important that talks should resume between all sides in the Debenhams dispute in order for an improved redundancy package to be put before workers
Micheal Martin says the former staff have found themselves in a very unfair situation and the Government will do all it's can to help them in the aftermath of the closure of the stores in Cork and Dublin
8 former workers are staging a sit-in at the Patrick Street store and say they plan to spend the next three days in the premises
On foot of the sit in, liquidators KPMG announced that they were withdrawing their improved redundancy deal and confirmed that they will not be negotiating any further settlement
Speaking during Leader's Questions the Taoiseach says he has nothing but admiration for the workers
