Taxi Drivers Call For A Review Of Taxi Arrangements Ahead Of Páirc Uí Chaoimh Events
Taxi drivers claim arrangements in place for them over the weekend at the Ed Sheeran gigs were inadequate
Over 100,000 people attended Ed Sheeran's three gigs over the course of the bank holiday weekend however concern has been expressed that taxi arrangements were inadequate.
The Cork branch of the Irish Taxi Drivers Federation says taxi drivers were unable to access Monahan Rd which proved extremely difficult for dropping passengers off, and had a knock on effect across the city.
Speaking to RedFM News ITF Cork representative Derry Coughlan says there were a lot of complaints from passengers and many taxi drivers opted to take the nights off as it was too difficult to work:
