Teachers across Cork unable to afford a mortgage

Teachers across Cork say they cannot get a mortgage as they are unable to meet deposit requirements on current salaries.
That's according to TUI members at their annual conference in the Clayton Silversprings Hotel, which was dominated by the issue of pay equality.
They're planning to ballot for strike action if equal pay is not restored by September.
Some teachers told the Conference in Cork that they're considering a career break to go teaching abroad so that they can accumulate the money needed to buy a house.
Speaking to RedFM News Teacher Tony Rosborough from St. Aidans School in Dublin Hill says many teachers find themselves in this prediciment:
