The Communications Minister Admits Figuring Out How To Enforce The New Broadcasting Charge Will Be A Challenge
The TV licence fee is to be scrapped and replaced with the new charge
It will apply to anyone who has a laptop, tablet, or smartphone.
It's in an effort to crack down on the 12 per cent of people who currently evade the 160 euro fee.
The Government is to tender for collector of the current TV licence fee, before the charge is reformed.
Minister Richard Bruton says how the charge will be enforced needs to be worked out.
