The Countdown To Christmas In Cork Is Well Underway
The Christmas Lights will be officially switched on in the City this evening
The family festive event starts at 6.30pm with the big switch on to take place at 7.15pm.
Ireland’s leading pop music school, The Academy of Popular Music will perform much-loved Christmas songs at the event and they'll be joined on stage by members of the Cork Deaf Community Choir who will sing a selection of Christmas songs.
Members of the public are being asked to give themselves plenty of time to come into the city this evening as normal Sunday parking restrictions will apply and traffic wardens will be on duty.
