The Death Has Occurred Of One Of the Main Witnesses In The Sophie Toscan Du Plantier Investigation

The French film producer was murdered near Schull in December 1996
57 year old Martin Graham, who was originally from Wiltshire in the UK but had been living in Ballydehob in West Cork, died on Sunday after a long illness
He had appeared as a witness in Ian Bailey's case against gardai and the state for wrongful arrest in early 2015
He became involved in the investigation into the French film producer's murder near Schull in December 1996 when gardaí learned he was staying in a house in Skibbereen which was visited by Ian Bailey shortly after he was released after his first arrest in relation to the murder in February 1997
Martin Graham claimed that gardai had given him cash, clothes and cannabis in return for trying to get Ian Bailey to speak about Sophie's death
Ian Bailey's French lawyer said there were no plans to bring witnesses in defence of Ian Bailey to the French trial, due to get underway on May 27th, so his defence will not be impacted by Martin Graham's death
