The Death Of A Toddler At The Elderwood Apartment Complex Is Being Treated As Suspicious
A two-year-old girl was found with serious injuries early yesterday morning.
The apartment complex is on the Boreenmanna Road near Páirc Uí Rinn
She was pronounced dead in Cork University Hospital shortly before 10am.
Inquiries are currently ongoing, and Gardai say they are currently awaiting the results of a post-mortem examination in order to determine the course of their investigation.
They also say that two scenes at apartment complex where the little girl was found, will remain sealed off in order for forensic examinations to take place.
Local councillor Des Cahill lives nearby and visited the scene yesterday.
