The Government Has Signed Off On Funding For The Long-Awaited N22 Macroom Bypass
Agriculture Minister and Cork North West TD Michael Creed confirmed the announcement to RedFM News late last night.
Funding for the €280 million project was due to be granted in September prompting fears the road could be delayed.
Transport Infrastructure Ireland say the 22 kilometre bypass linking Cork and Kerry will be used by around 20,000 vehicles every day.
The project is expected to take over 3 years to complete
