The Inquest Into The Death Of A 16 Year Old Cork Teenager Has Heard He Died Of An Overdose

Michael Cornacchia was found unresponsive at his home in Deerpark in January 2017
A verdict of misadventure from ingestion of the designer drug U-47700 and ectasy was returned at an inquest into his death this morning.
The coroner said that Michael did not know what he was getting and he also expressed concern that more and more of these types of inquests are taking place.
He added that there was no quality control of these drugs and the people that are making and selling them do not care.
Speaking to Cork's RedFM after the inquest his parents Joan Deasy and Roberto Cornacchia say their son had a great life in front of him an they would urge people not to take syntehtic drugs:
