The Irish Farmers' Association: "Protests Will Continue Until There's A Significant Increase In The Price Of Beef"

Farmers are blockading the Lidl distribution centre in Charleville this morning. It comes after a protest at the Aldi Distribution Centre in Naas, Co Kildare yesterday

The blockade in Charleville started at seven o'clock this morning, and farmers say the blockade will continue until seven o'clock tonight. 

Beef farmers say the blockades will continue at distribution centres across the country until retailers meet them to discuss the issue. 

The IFA's Munster Chairman John Coughlan told RedFM News that farmers have no other choice but to protest:
