The Man Behind A Petition To Upgrade The Waterloo Junction Says He Won't Rest Until The Junction Is Safe
Blarney resident Damian Boylan set up the petition last month
The petition is calling for Cork County Council and Transport Infrastructure Ireland to carry out urgent improvement works at the junction following a number of recent serious collisions.
Two American tourists were killed at the junction last September, while last month a collision at the same junction left one American man in a serious condition in hospital.
The Council confirmed today that new signage will be erected at the junction in the next four weeks informing drivers that a safer exit for Blarney Castle is further south.
