The Tánaiste says he didn’t break the law when he leaked a confidential GP document

A criminal investigation is underway after Leo Varadkar passed the file to a friend almost two years ago.
He says calls for him to resign by Sinn Fein are ‘double standards.’
The Tánaiste says Gardaí haven’t been in touch yet and insists he didn’t commit a crime:
"I didn't do anything illegal or corrupt or self interested, there was no personal gain, no personal benefit, did no harm to anyone and conferred no advantage in anyone and again just finally, for the record, because I do see reports to the contrary, in some newspaper articles, this was not a cabinet document, it was not a cabinet secret, it was not a budget secret, it was not classified, it wasn't even a contract- it was an agreement about changes to a contract."
