There Will Be More Garda Checkpoints And Presence Than Ever Before On Irish Roads This Christmas
It's due to the tightening of Covid-19 restrictions alongside a new Christmas Road Safety campaign
That's according to Brian Farrell of the Road Safety Authority, who says that intoxicant checkpoints are already in operation Leeside, and will continue to operate throughout the Christmas and New Year season.
On Friday afternoon, news broke that 4 people were arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence in Mallow over a 24 hour period.
One of drivers was arrested after testing positive for cocaine use.
