Third application to be submitted for regeneration scheme to include Blackpool
A third attempt at extending a city regeneration scheme to Blackpool is being made by Cork City Council
The Living City Initiative is designed to regenerate historic city centre areas with grants for refurbishing building built before 1915.
The Evening Echo reports Blackpool was omitted from the initial scheme and has not been added since, despite two requests from the local authority.
The council will submit a third application to the Department of Finance in the coming days.
