Thirty drivers caught using their mobile phones

Gardaí say that's the figure caught in the city yesterday.
Over 30 drivers were caught using their mobile phone in Cork city yesterday.
That's according to Gardaí who are reminding motorists that you are four times more likely to crash when using a mobile phone.
The penalties for holding a mobile phone while driving are three Penalty points on payment and five Penalty points on conviction along with a fixed charge.
The Garda reminder comes as check points have been mounted across the city and county over the bank holiday weekend.
Ninety people have lost their lives on Cork roads over the past four years and the highest proportion of these fatalities were in the Cork West Division where three people have already lost their lives this year.
Speaking to RedFM News Sgt Ian O'Callaghan of the Cork West Garda Division says gardaí will be out in full force this weekend.
