Thousands Of Eir Customers Remain Without Phone & Broadband Services
51,000 Eir customers across Cork are without broadband, telephone and mobile phone services as a result of Storm Ophelia.
The telecommunications company says the storm caused unprecedented and widespread levels of damage to Eir's infrastructure, including damage to poles and cables.
County Cork is the worst affected area in the country, and the company says they have over 1,200 staff working to get as many people back on line as possible.
Speaking to RedFM news Eir's Paul Bradley says it is a mammoth task and may take time:
