Three Cork towns included in Age Friendly Towns Programme

Cork County Council has extended it's Age Friendly Towns Programme.

Funding has been awarded to three additional towns, following on from the success of the initiative in Kinsale.

Cobh, Bandon and Mitchelstown will all implement the programme over the next two years, with the overall aim being an improvement in quality of life for older people by consultation and identifying key issues to address.

The Council are hoping these measures will ensure Cork is a great county in which to grow old.
