Three Hospitals In Cork Collected Over €3.6 Million In Parking Revenue

The revelation has led to calls for the phasing out of car parking charges
New figures from the HSE show that the majority of this money - over €3 million - was received by Cork University Hospital followed by the South Infirmary/Victoria Hospital which collected €318,400 and the Mercy took in €265,000 in parking revenue in 2017
The data from the HSE - obtained the data through a parliamentary question - shows that nationally 22-point-4 million euro was received by hospitals around the country in 2017.
The revelation has led to calls from Sinn Fein's Louise O'Reilly to phase out hospital car parking charges
