Threshold: Illegal retention of deposits a real issue for Cork renters

Illegal retention of deposits by landlords is one of the major problems experienced by tenants in Cork. That's according to Threshold's annual report for 2013. The housing organisation is calling for the urgent introduction of a protection deposit scheme to protect renters. All or part of the deposit was returned in the majority of cases taken to the Private Residential Tenancies Board.
