Court Settlement Not "Lottery Win" For Family Of 13-year-old Boy Who Suffered Brain Damage

Arron O'Keefe, from Mallow, was awarded the settlement after his family sued the HSE.
The family of a 13-year-old boy who suffered brain damage at birth say today's court settlement is not a "lottery win" for them.
The High Court has approved an award of 15 million euro for Arron O'Keefe, from Mallow, who has Cerebral Palsy, after he sued the HSE through his mother.
It brings to 17.6 million euro the total amount he's been awarded, following two previous settlements in the last 4 years.
Solicitor Aoife O'Kane, speaking on behalf of Arron's family, says the money will go towards caring for him for the rest of his life:
