Togher Boxing Club hits out at the high cost of flying through Cork Airport

Togher Boxing Club has hit out at the high cost of travelling through Cork Airport. The club faced a bill of €6,700 to fly from Cork to Bristol with Aer Lingus, while the same flight out of Dublin with Ryanair cost €5,000 less. A group of 20 members of the club are due to compete in a boxing tournament in the UK city on May 9th , and they say the difference of return flights through Cork and Dublihn airport could amount to over €10,000. Chairman of the club Cllr Fergal Dennehy told RedFM News that customers are being driven away from Cork Airport. Click the PLAY button above to hear.
