Togher Childminders set to protest over low pay
Childcare professionals at the Togher Family Centre will be taking to the streets tomorrow in protest over low pay rates.
The Early Years teachers are calling on the Government to increase wages in accordance with the level of qualification demanded within the industry.
They will be staging the protest on the Togher road in support of their colleagues who will be protesting outside the Dail at the same time.
The group say their members are struggling to pay their bills on the minimum wages, and have to take a second and sometimes a third job to make ends meet.
Speaking to RedFM news Spokesperson from the Togher Family Centre says she hopes parents will come out and support them:
