Tony Fenton loses his battle with cancer

Tributes are flowing in for radio presenter Tony Fenton The 53 year old has lost his five year battle with cancer Tony became a household name presenting shows on 2FM where he spent 18 years broadcasting before moving to Today FM in 2004. Last November after 40 years in the radio industry he was inducted into the PPI Radio Awards Hall of Fame He was diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2011 before it spread to other parts of his body. In January Tony, whose real name was Anthony Fagan, said he expected to return to his weekday slot after a 10 month absence. However his condition deteriorated over the the last few weeks. RedFM's Programme Director KC who worked with Tony for two years in TodayFM described him as one of the nicest men in radio Press PLAY clip above to listen to the audio
