The government's being urged to find a resolution after it emerged it's illegal for pubs and restaurants to serve alcohol in many outdoors seating areas.

Gardai say drinking alcohol in temporary outdoor locations isn't allowed if they don't have a licence.

The force says these businesses can only sell food or drinks on a takeaway basis or for consumption off the premises.

Investigations are ongoing in relation into a sink hole in Blackrock.

On Sunday two units of Cork City Fire Service attended at the scene in McGrath Park just before 7am, after receiving a call about a burst water main in the area.

Gary O'Donovan woke on Sunday morning to a sink hole in his drive way after contacting Irish water after spotting water running in the area on Saturday evening.

The family's car was almost swallowed by the sink hole.

6% of people say they'd refuse a Covid-19 vaccine, according to a new survey. 

Research by Ipsos/MRBI for the Irish Pharmaceutical Healthcare Association also found public appetite for vaccines has risen to 89%.

The number of those who were unsure if they'll get a vaccine is down 14 points since January, to 4%.

Registration for a Covid-19 vaccine opens for people aged 38 today.

Its expected they will be given an appointment for a jab in the coming weeks.

People can sign up online, or by phone.
