Town In Cork Launches New Campaign To Clean Up Its Streets

Locals in Carrigaline have picked up over 6000 cigarette butts on the town's main street over a four week period
In response to the volumes of cigarette waste, The community's tidy towns committee have launched a new campaign, 'Smoke It. Stub It. Bin It.', to encourage people to dispose of their cigarettes responsibly.
Recent Pollution reports have revealed that last year 56.3% of litter across the local authorities was cigarette-related, predominantly cigarette butts.
