Traders express serious concerns over stalled flood relief work in Bandon

Traders in Bandon would consider withholding commercial rates if planned flood relief works do not go ahead.
That's according to Gillian Powell from the Bandon Flood Group who says businesses in the town would not survive another winter of severe flooding.
Residents and Business owners in the West Cork town have expressed concern following the removal of machinery from the site by contractors Willis Brothers Ltd earlier this week.
The exact nature of the issue has not been revealed, but traders have called on the Minister for the OPW Sean Canney to intervene in talks with the contractors.
