Transport Minister makes another call to cancel strike

SIPTU and NBRU drivers plan to strike tomorrow and Saturday.
An 11th hour effort to avoid travel chaos over the Bank Holiday weekend is still a possibility, as the Transport Minister calls for more talks at the LRC.
SIPTU and NBRU drivers are stopping work tomorrow and Saturday, in a row over the privatisation of some bus routes.
Thousands of people throughout the country will have to make alternative travel plans for 48 hours from tomorrow.
Bus lanes also will not be open to cars.
Minister Paschal Donohoe says the current grievances of drivers have now been addressed, so the strike should not proceed.
