The Transport Minister has pledged to support the upgrade of the N28 Cork to Ringaskiddy Road however he says it will be a tough balancing act.
Pascal Donohue was Leeside yesterday where he was lobbied to ensure adequate investment is in place to ensure the delivery of the N28 Cork to Ringaskiddy Road and the M20 Cork-Limerick motorway.
It follows recent calls by IBEC to prioritise the delivery of these upgrades.
Businesses say the potential of a spate of recent jobs announcements, key projects including the redevelopment of the Port of Cork, the new events centre, and the building of new office blocks will be limited without proper infrastructure.
Speaking to RedFM News Minister Donohue says the N28 will receive his support but this has to be balanced with the need for other infrastructure Leeside:
