Transport Minister says new routes at Cork Airport signal positive future

His comments come as Aer Lingus unveiled it's new route from Cork to Dusseldorf today.
The Transport Minister says he believes the announcement of two new routes out of Cork will help to turn the airports fortunes around.
Minister Pascal Donohoe was on hand as Aer Lingus unveiled it's new route from Cork to Dusseldorf.
He also announced the ring-fencing of a fund of €1 million through Tourism Ireland, which is to be used for co-operative marketing of regional ports and airports.
According to today's Irish Examiner the airline is also set to announce increased capacity on some of its other routes which are being serviced by Cork Airport.
Last week CityJet launched a direct route out of Cork to the City of London Airport and Minister Pascal Donohue told RedFM News that it's a good week for the airport.
