TV programme set to show the work of Cork paramedics

The spotlight is being shone on the job of Cork paramedics after a TV crew filmed their day-to-day life over a number of months. The documentary called Paramedics will be aired on TV3 at 9pm tonight and shows the paramedics based in Cork city dealing with a wide range of situations from drug overdoses to delivering babies. Advanced paramedic Peter Delea who is working with the service for the past 18 years has defended the emergency controllers who take the 999 calls but are no longer based in Cork.. Speaking on the Neil Prendeville Show Peter says he believes, despite some criticisms, the new system works well. Click the PLAY button to hear.
