Two Cork Faces Included In Line Up Of Ireland South Constituency

Fine Gael's Deirdre Clune was re-elected to the European Parliament claiming the fifth and final seat

Two Cork faces are included in the line up of the Ireland South constituency.

Last evening Fine Gael's Deirdre Clune was re-elected to the European Parliament claiming the fifth and final seat in the constituency known as the 'cold storage' seat which means she won't be able to take up her position until after Brexit.

The Green Party's Grace O'Sullivan took the fourth seat after doing very well from the transfers of Independents4Change candidate Mick Wallace who took the third seat in the constituency yesterday afternoon.

They join Fine Gael's Sean Kelly and Cork candidate Fianna Fáil's Billy Kelleher as candidates who will be representing Ireland South in Europe.

Speaking to RedFM News Fine Gael's Deirdre Clune says she's very happy with her campaign and she hopes this particular count will encourage people to fully fill out their ballot papers as transfers can change everything:
