Two Cork TD's have raised the stalled Events Centre in the Dail this afternoon
Sinn Fein TD Donnchadh Ó Laoghaire and Socialist Party Deptuty Mick Barry raised the long delays surrounding the 5,000 seater venue and asked for a timeline to be issued on the additional funding request for the project
The proposed Events Centre has been the subject of much discussion and it is now over 1,000 days since the sod was first turned on the project by former Taoiseach Enda Kenny
The Government is still waiting for legal advice about whether an additional €10 million funding can be provided for the stalled project.
Minister of State Pat Breen who was taking questions on the project assured the House that the Events Centre remains a priority for the Government
