Two People Arrested On Suspicion Of Murder Of Paul Jones In Cork City Remain In Custody

A man and woman arrested on suspicion of the murder of Paul Jones remain in garda custody in the city this morning.
The man in his early 40s is being detained at Mayfield Garda station, while the woman in her early 50s is being held at Togher Garda Station.
The pair, who it's believed were known to the victim were arrested by investigating officers yesterday.
The body of the 55 year old was found at his home on the bandon road on Saturday by his son.
The results of the post mortem were not released for operational reasons, however it's understood the victim suffered a number of stab wounds to the body.
Gardaí have renewed their appeal for witnesses and are asking anyone who was in the Bandon road area between 9:30pm and 10:30pm on Wednesday 4th of September to contact them at Anglesea Street on 021-45 22 000
