Two people injured in West Cork explosion

A man and a woman have been injured in an explosion in West Cork this morning. Emergency services have sealed off the scene - a cafe on the main street at Ballinspittle. The injured were treated by paramedics at the scene before they were removed by ambulance to hospital for treatment, for serious burns sustained in the explosion. Gas Networks Ireland say they is no natural gas supply in the area and at this stage it's believed that the cause of the explosion was a gas bottle. The village has been sealed off - and traffic is being diverted. The Health and Safety Authority have been informed and are investigating the incident. Speaking to RedFM News at the scene, the owner of Levion Rose next door to the cafe Sharon O'Cinneada describes what her staff member Emily heard when the explosion went off.
