Two units of Cork City Fire Service battle blazing bus

It's understood there were no injuries.     

Cork City Fire service were called to deal with a bus that went on fire last evening in the city centre. 

The alarm was raised shortly after 7pm and two units of the fire brigade responded to the scene on Parnell Place which is right next to the city’s main bus depot.

The fire on the Bus Éireann vehicle, which was part of the 202 service from Mahon, was brought under control within the hour and the fire brigade left the scene at around ten to eight.

It's understood there were no injuries.
