Two weather warnings for Cork have been lifted

Met Éireann upgraded a status Yellow wind warning to Orange for Cork and Kerry yesterday afternoon.

ESB Networks remain on standby this morning after reconnecting homes in Togher, Fairhill and Coolroe last night.

78 homes remain without power in Timoleague this morning.

The Fire Service also dealt with fallen trees in Belgooly and on the Lee Road in the City.

Motorists are being advised to reduce their speed this morning as there may be debris on the roads.

Speaking to RedFM News Jim Hernan Regional Manager with ESB networks says people can stay up to date with reconnection times on the ESB power check app:

"For updates in relation to power the quickest route really is the ESB power check app. That'll be kept up to date in terms of restoration details, and indeed if you do lose power on the phone the power check app will tell you straight away, whether that's an outage we're aware of, if you don't see yourself on the power checkout dial in 1800 372999. Let us know your details."
