UCC Expert: People's Health Is At Risk Unless Action Is Taken To Reduce Air Pollution

John Sodeau from the Centre for Research into Atmospheric Chemistry is calling for more extensive air monitoring in Cork
The call follows the revelation that the M50 and Port Tunnel in Dublin are showing nitrogen dioxide levels that are above safe limits.
Nitrogen dioxide is produced by burning solid fuels and by combustion engines and has been linked to conditions such as asthma and emphysema as well as acid rain and smog.
Speaking to RedFM News, Professor Sodeau says roadside monitoring in Cork is almost non-existent:
