UCC Hit Out At Cyberbullies

University College Cork has slammed cyberbullies after photographs of students were published on Facebook. The pictures which show some students in comprising and vulnerable situations are being posted anonymously on the social networking site. UCC have received several complaints from students who were bullied online over these photos which were posted without their consent. The college says some of the pages have contained hurtful and defamatory comments aimed at students and some college staff. College authorities and UCC Students’ Union have now issued a joint statement condemning the pages and offering advice to students on how they can respond if they’ve been affected by the content.
