UK Proving To Be Much More Attractive Option For Doctors Rather Than Establishing GP Practice In Rural Cork
                            That's according to Youghal based Dr Declan Matthews
He says the start up costs associated with establishing a practice with offices and staff, combined with the long working hours at SouthDoc are turning doctors off
Up to 600 doctors are due to retire in the next few years and the Government has done little to address the country's recruitment and retention difficulties in the sector with three vacancies currently in Bandon and Macroom
Speaking to RedFM News Dr Matthews says general practice is in crisis
