Update Expected Today On State's €14.3 Billion Investment From Apple

An update's expected today on the states investment of €14.3 billion given to it by Apple following a landmark EU ruling.
In 2016, the European Commission ruled that Ireland gave the tech giant illegal state aid over a 10 year period, with the money owed in taxes and interest.
Apple employs over 6,000 people at its European Headquarters in Hollyhill on the northside of Cork city.
The Public Accounts Committee will later be given details of the investments progress by the Comptroller and Auditor General.
Officials from the State Claims Agency will also be questioned at the committee today on medical negligence payouts.
