UPDATE on burst water mains on Cathedral Rd
Irish Water and Cork City Council are responding to a burst in a large trunk main that occurred on Cathedral Road in the Northside of the City yesterday afternoon.
Following on from the burst, water supply should now have returned to most customers in the area.
Irish Water say they are aware that some areas on higher ground may still be impacted, such as Parklands, Killeens Place and Rathpeacon Road, as well as higher parts of Glenthorn and Mervue.
They say they're working to restore water to all areas impacted as quickly as possible.
Anyone experiencing water outages, or low pressure, is asked to contact Irish Water on 1850 278 278 and our crews will investigate.
Cathedral Road remains closed, to allow for repair of both the pipe and road to be completed safely.
